Bending the truth, Emilia calls in sick to work. But then tells a very different story to the IT department, persuading them to hand over access to sensitive systems. As the situation escalates, even her eco-terrorist accomplice begins to wonder if he can trust the story she has told him.
Environmental Factors is a packed action short, made with a team of eleven in the Scottish Borders. It is a terse, claustrophobic bottle film set largely inside a car, in which two characters’ disagreement over tactics gradually exposes their opposed views of the world, of ethics and of what is permitted.
The climate crisis is the battlefield. It gives the argument a real, universal footing while the film stays confined to a single vehicle.
